1. TO OUR STOREFRONT IN ANACORTES (For 3hr, 5hr, and Overnight Trips)

From Seattle:

  • North on I-5 to EXIT 230 (approximately 60 miles)
  • Take EXIT 230, drive WEST on Hwy 20 towards Anacortes
  • Follow Hwy 20 "SPUR" into Anacortes
  • Hwy 20 turns into COMMERCIAL AVE
  • Follow COMMERCIAL AVE to 1801 Commercial Ave, we are on the right side of the road in the ISLAND ADVENTURES WHALE WATCHING store.

From Bellingham:

  • South on I-5 to EXIT 230 (approximately 20 miles)
  • Take EXIT 230, drive WEST on HWY 20 towards Anacortes
  • Follow Hwy 20 "SPUR" into Anacortes
  • Hwy 20 turns into COMMERCIAL AVE
  • Follow COMMERCIAL AVE to 1801 Commercial Ave, we are on the right side of the road in the ISLAND ADVENTURES WHALE WATCHING STORE.

2. Driving Directions to the Deception Pass Tour Launch Site

(For 1.5 Hour trips only)

From Seattle:

(Approximately 90 minutes)
  • NORTH on I-5 to exit 230
  • WEST on Highway 20 for 11.5 miles, get in LEFT TURN LANE to continue on Highway 20, follow signs to Deception Pass and Oak Harbor
  • Continue on Hwy-20 for 5 miles to ROSARIO ROAD, take RIGHT. (Pass Lake will be on your right at this point)
  • IMMEDIATE LEFT onto BOWMAN BAY ROAD.
  • LEFT at first stop sign, follow into dirt parking lot
  • Look for our brown Kayak Shack near the trees.

From Bellingham:

(Approximately 1 hour)

  • SOUTH on I-5 to exit 230
  • WEST on Highway 20 for 11.5 miles, get in LEFT TURN LANE to continue on Highway 20, follow signs to Deception Pass and Oak Harbor

What to Bring for Day Trips:

Hat, sunglasses, layered clothing, sunscreen, binoculars, camera, lunch or snack, appropriate shoes for the beach - some tours have a beach landing.

What We Provide

All necessary equipment for your tour; great kayak guides, double kayak, paddle, pfd, spray skirt, and dry bags.
